Design Build

A project delivery method whereby the design and construction phases are combined in a single contract. By doing this the Designer and Contractor work together from the beginning, streamlining projects by eradicating the need for multiple contracting efforts and promoting a culture of collaboration with all stakeholders from the start.

HBC Builders Inc. will offer a comprehensive Design-Build service by engaging our valued Architectural and Engineering partners while incorporating our internal Estimating and Pre-Construction Teams to ensure shorter construction timelines, comprehensive design and construction costing enabling us to provide our customers with a streamlined, value-engineered project.

Fixed Price

Being the most traditional project contract type, a Fixed Price Contract engages the Contractor after the Design is complete. The owner will have engaged a team of consultants including Architects and Engineers to produce a set of IFT drawings and Specifications in which the Lead Consultant will issue a competitive tender with. 

Upon the Owner’s selection of a Contractor based on the bids received, the Project can proceed directly to Construction, however, limits an exchange of ideas during the design stage commonly found in other methods of project delivery. HBC Builders Inc. consistently collaborates with the Architect and Owner to produce on-time, on-budget construction, while maintaining a high level of sub-trade and supplier contacts to assure competitiveness and performance across every project.

Construction Management

An alternative form of project delivery where HBC Builders Inc. is contracted as a Construction Manager and replaces the role of General Contractor in a traditional design-bid-build delivery. The owner still engages the Consultant Team to design and prepare construction documents, but also engages the HBC Team at an early stage as a consultant to provide advice, oversee and manage construction: planning, costs, scheduling, methods and materials. This delivery maintains a full time Supervisor on site as in the other contracts.

This CM process includes a collaborative preconstruction services phase; optimizing early engagement from all stakeholders - trade partners, architects, owners, and contractors. This phase sets the project up for success by ensuring that design reflects the budget and project requirements. Our team specializes in the planning, design, and construction of a project from start to finish.

Re-Construction

HBC Builders offers an experienced team of Project Managers and Site Supervisors that have completed numerous large loss reconstruction projects. Our process allows HBC to deliver high quality bid submissions accompanied by detailed scopes of work. We work closely with adjusters and their clients to ensure the full scope of the loss is recognized in the original bid which minimizes change orders and additional time lost

Once emergency service work has been completed, HBC Builders will mobilize to complete the reconstruction of various commercial spaces including offices, retail, restaurant and industrial spaces. HBC is capable of executing mid-size projects in the range of $250K - $5M in project scope.
